VMS are a key element of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Depending on the traffic situation, the VMS can inform, warn and guide the motorist on highways and motorways. VMS assist with smooth traffic flow and reduce and avoid road congestion. Our range of traffic management display systems also include tunnel variable message signs (VMS) and warning displays, speed reactive variable message signs and mobile trailer mounted VMS displays offering the flexibility of a portable LED VMS display. Data Display VMS signs can also interface with Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems (ANPR) to help monitor journey times on the countries roads and provide up to date travel information.
Data Display ITS systems are in use internationally by the National Roads Authority, Birmingham City Council and DRIPs displays in the Netherlands.
